Riphah International University – Peshawar Campus
Riphah International University – Peshawar Campus is committed to quality higher education, applied research, and ethical professional practice in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As a constituent campus of Riphah International University, it provides a structured academic environment in which students pursue rigorous programmes while developing the values, skills, and professional judgement required for service to society.
Medical education at the campus has been offered since 2005 through Peshawar Medical College, with clinical learning supported by affiliated teaching hospitals in Peshawar. Dental education is delivered through Peshawar Dental College, with training at Peshawar Dental Hospital and related clinical settings. Alongside these health-sciences pathways, the campus offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Islamic Studies & Comparative Religion, strengthening scholarship, research, and community engagement.
The campus is organised into three departments: the Department of Medical Sciences (PMC), the Department of Dental Sciences (PDC), and the Department of Islamic Studies & Comparative Religion. This structure clarifies academic leadership, programme ownership, and student pathways, while keeping colleges, hospitals, and campus services connected under a shared campus identity.
Teaching and learning emphasise both theory and practice. Students in medical and dental programmes gain exposure to patient care, clinical decision-making, and hospital-based training. Students in Islamic studies engage classical disciplines together with contemporary questions, research methods, and academic writing. Across departments, faculty support an environment that values integrity, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Campus life extends beyond classrooms and clinics. Libraries and learning resources, hostels, student societies, sports, and academic support services contribute to a complete student experience. Research culture is encouraged through platforms such as undergraduate research activity and related institutional offices, helping students and faculty pursue inquiry with academic purpose.
The campus welcomes local, overseas Pakistani, and international students, regardless of color, creed, gender, ethnicity, or religion. Medical and dental education programmes are recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC). University programmes operate within the applicable framework of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and postgraduate medical training pathways are associated with CPSP recognition where relevant.
